Javier Ortega, M.D. is a nephrologist at South Texas Renal Care Group, specializing in the diagnosis and management of kidney-related conditions. He provides comprehensive care with a focus on delivering personalized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
Prior to joining South Texas Renal Care Group, Dr. Ortega completed his medical degree at the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in 2018, followed by his internship and residency in internal medicine from 2019 to 2023, where he also served as Chief Resident. He completed his nephrology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine–Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, TX (2023–2025).
Dr. Ortega’s clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and dialysis management.
